Ministry of Education Director Visited the International School

On the afternoon of 22nd March, Wang Guangyan, the Deputy Director of the Moral Education Bureau, Ministry of Education, visited the International School, to investigate the implementation of the “Six in the Dorm” programme. He was accompanied by Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee, Wang Jinhai, Secretary of the School Committee, and Ouyang Kang, Head of the Publicity Department, CPC Committee.

During the visit, Zheng Yun and Liu Shenhe, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of CPC Branch, as well as other heads of departments, gave a presentation on the state of affairs to the director. Mr. Wang also made detailed enquiries of the School’s main fields of study, student numbers, Party and student societies promotional activities. He also had an in-depth conversation on the subject of the Lei Feng spirit and of the situation for students putting into practice of what they learn.

Frontline staff were deeply impressed by Mr. Wang’s work attitude, and his well-rounded knowledge on the grass-roots and student affairs. Mr. Wang gave a firm approval to the School’s development of the “Six in the Dorm” programme. He also encouraged the reporting on the Ministry of Education’s morality and politics issue, and applications for doctoral study on morality and politics, which would help to promote specialised skills and to better serve the students. Mr. Wang concluded his visit with an enthusiastic acknowledgement of the achievements of the International School.
