Annie McLaughlin, the International Officer from the University of Glasgow, together with two delegates, visited the International School on the afternoon of 26th March. Xiao Long, the Deputy Dean, received the guests and gave a brief introduction on the history and the internationalisation of the International school. After that, they explored the possibilities of establishing a 2+2 programme with Glasgow, in addition to the existing 3+1 programme. Ms McLaughlin spoke highly of the performance of the graduate students from JUFE currently studying at Glasgow. She also indicated that she will convey these proposals to the management at Glasgow, and to work hard towards further cooperation. After the meeting, Ms McLaughlin and the delegates held a seminar, promoting Glasgow and giving advice to those students who are about to, or intend to, further their studies in Glasgow next year.

In the past two years, 10 students per year on average from JUFE had been accepted onto Glasgow’s master's programmes, and the performance of JUFE students has been well received there. In 2011 the two schools signed the 3+1 cooperative programme agreement, which was launched in February, 2012. It is expected that about 15 students from our school will join this programme in Glasgow this year.
