Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg Guest visited the International School

On 24th October, Ms Katja Polanski, the Head of the International Department of Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, visited the International School. Ms Yang Hui, the Dean and Xiao Long, the Deputy Dean, received their guest in the Dean’s offices. Ms Yang gave a brief introduction on the history of the International School and its internationalisation programme. Then the two parties discussed the specifics of their future cooperation.

Founded in 1765, Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg is one of the oldest universities in the world, and Germany’s most important base for geosciences research and education. The university is in the city of Freiberg, a small and beautiful university city. The university provides courses and research in geology, mineralogy, natural resources, materials, and management of the economy. TU Bergakademie Freiberg has about 5,000 students, of these, 11 percent are international students; it also has about 100 professors and 250 research assistants.
